Watershed Organisation Trust is pleased to share a case study of 'Sattechiwadi' included as one of the best practices published in the Ministry of Environment and Forest, GOI National Report 2012 submitted to UNCCD. It gives an account of the activities implemented in Sattechiwadi (a hamlet of Hivargaon) Maharashtra and how specific land degradation problems were addressed.
WOTR is a premier non-government organization working in sectors like watershed development, sustainable agriculture, livelihoods and climate change adaptation. It works in 7 states of the country.
WOTR seeks to empanel motivated persons with impeccable English writing, journalistic and reporting skills having fluency in the local language to write about, document and photograph the work that we do, on an assignment, freelance and periodic basis.
Final year students of journalism/social sciences will also be considered.
Geographies of interests are Western, Marathwada and Vidarbha in Maharashtra, Ganjam in Odisha, Udaipur in Rajasthan, Khunti in Jharkhand, Mahboobnagar in Telegana and Mandla & Seoni in Madhya Pradesh.
