In today’s times, agriculture has become increasingly reliant on chemical inputs. Small and marginal farmers, in particular, find farming an expensive occupation, pushing them towards debt-traps.
Hence, at WOTR we believe that ‘System of Crop Intensification’ (SCI) could be one answer to farmers in the semi-arids and arids of India. Promotion of organic manure and low external inputs ensures high productivity as well as soil health.
