This article describes ‘Disaster Risk Reduction ‘ Component of the Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) programme implemented by Watershed Organisation Trust (WOTR). It also illustrates WOTR’s multi-pronged approach in Community Based Disaster Management (CBDM) for empowering local communities to deal with climate change, by building capacities of the communities to prevent, mitigate and cope with disasters effectively.
