Plastic Bandiche Shivdhanushya: Banning Plastic a Herculean Task

The Environment Department of the Government of Maharashtra and the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) recently released a special issue compendium titled issue ‘Plastic Bandiche Shivdhanushya’ (Banning plastic: A herculean task)’, which includes an article by senior researchers, Arjuna Srinidhi and Divya Nazareth, titled ‘Krushi Sanskritit Rujtey Plastic Sanskriti’ (The rise in plasticulture).  The book has a special message from the ex-Chief Minister – Shri Devendra Fadnavis, with Shri Ramdas Kadam (the ex-state Minister of Environment) serving as the guest editor.  Other big-names associated with this initiative of the Govt of Maharashtra are – Shri Uddhav Thackarey (current chief minister), Aditya Thackeray (current Environment Minister), Amruta Fadnavis and Juhi Chawla.
