Vulnerability to heat stress: A case study of Yavatmal, Maharashtra, India

The increased intensity of agriculture combined with changes in timings of working hours (i.e. working even during the hottest time of the day) means that farmers and outdoor labourers are increasingly exposed to high outdoor temperatures. This study provides a pilot assessment of vulnerability to heat exposure in a rural context during the peak summer months of 2016 with a focus on indoor and outdoor temperatures.
