In 2015, the Government of Maharashtra launched the JSA, with the aim of making 25,000 villages in Maharashtra drought-free.

Here, Dr. Aradhana Yaduvanshi talks about the opportunity to work with Prof. Mark New and Dr. Modathir Zaroug at the African Climate Development Initiative (ACDI). The interaction with both, has helped her in her ASSAR study of likely impacts of 1.5°C and 2°C global warming levels on regional rainfall and temperature changes in India. She also shares key findings of ASSAR’s study on 1.5-2 degree warming in India.
