ECOBARI – Team Lead
As ECOBARI’s Team Lead, you will develop the collaborative into a thriving community that shares knowledge and best practices about Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EbA) in India. You will be responsible for upscaling the concept of EbA by curating opportunities for knowledge sharing and learning, building an active and engaged community, and leading a skilled and efficient team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set clear targets for the growth of the collaborative and develop the pathway to achieve it, including a monitoring plan to track progress.
- Create and implement a strong narrative and communications plan for the collaborative, across all outreach channels, with a focus on disseminating knowledge about EbA.
- Ensure adequate participation of a range of stakeholders in ECOBARI’s forums and events, with a focus on continually growing membership.
- Build active online and offline spaces to convene the ECOBARI community, including annual events, WhatsApp communities, etc.
- Support and oversee ECOBARI’s research team to develop and curate resources for knowledge sharing and capacity building.
- Gather and promote strong case studies and success stories from around the country that demonstrate EbA in India.
- Develop key tools, benchmarks, and methodologies for EbA.
- Curate training sessions, workshops, and other opportunities for capacity building on Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EbA), based on identified gaps and in collaboration with ECOBARI partners, including the W-CReS team.
- Fundraise for the collaborative by demonstrating a strong value proposition, engaging with donors, and managing the collaborative’s budget.
- Engage the Steering Committee and gather feedback to shape the direction of the collaborative.
- Build and lead a team of 1-3 people to achieve the objectives listed above.
Requirements:
- 8 – 10 years of experience working in network building, stakeholder management, fundraising, communications, and/or similar fields within the non-profit sector, preferably with a background in climate adaptation and ecology.
- Masters/ M.Phil in relevant disciplines.
- Keen understanding and interest in ecological restoration and climate adaptation, with the drive to learn about Ecosystem-based Adaptation.
- Strong communication and networking skills, with the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrable experience of growing community engagement and coordination.
- Strategic thinking to assess gaps, track progress, and ensure continuous development of the collaborative.

Snapshot of the Role:
As a Junior Research Assistant, you would be supporting literature reviews, tool development, data analysis, and writing scientific publications and policy briefs. You would also be developing data collection tools, coordinating field data collection, and managing projects.
Key Deliverables:
- Assistance in literature review, tool preparation, data analysis, proposal preparation, project management, writing of papers, policy briefs, and scientific articles

Scope of the Job:
The Climate Analyst will review and evaluate scientific research and data to identify how shifts in climate will potentially affect Agriculture, Ecology, and natural resources.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze data related to climate change, extreme weather events

About Job
In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and engaging potential donors, establishing new partnerships to position WOTR as their preferred environmental sustainability partner. As a Fundraiser, your principal accountabilities include:
A. Donor Acquisition and Relationship Management (60% of time):
- Effectively convey the organization’s mission, vision, and programs to potential donors.

The Purchase Executive is responsible for managing the procurement of agri inputs and other products required by farmers. The WOTR Centre for Resilience Studies (W-CReS), initiated in 2007 and established in 2016, is WOTR’s eminent and autonomous applied research unit.
Employing a trans-disciplinary approach, W-CReS conducts multi-stakeholder, applied research on critical, ground-level issues impacting society. W-CReS’ mission is to unravel the causal relationships and drivers of behavioural change, devise and test potent strategies for transformation, and contribute to policy enhancement and capacity building.
W-CreS works closely with civil society agencies, businesses, local, state and federal governments to achieve its mission. It has formal MOUs with leading publicly funded research and scientific institutions in India, such as the ICAR, IMD, and CRIDA. A snapshot of what you will be working on at WOTR?
As the Manager of Monitoring and Evaluation, you will play a crucial role in leading the organization’s M&E department, working closely with the Executive Director, Programme Directors, and department heads to drive the organization’s mission forward. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that projects are developed using the highest quality evidence, while also capturing and communicating high-quality findings through the use of cutting-edge monitoring and evaluation techniques.
In order to achieve this, you will establish a robust monitoring and evaluation system throughout the organization, develop impact metrics for short-, mid-, and long-term goals, and lead the design of monitoring and evaluation frameworks and tools for various programmes. As Manager – Monitoring & Evaluation you will:

- Evaluate the success of all our core programmes and generate periodic reports for internal use and funder reporting

WOTR is on the lookout for a Sr. Officer (FPO) to promote Farmers Producer Organization (FPO) and establish the required systems and processes for internal governance and management—production, marketing, finance, MIS, and statutory compliance—to sustain the organization and provide significant benefit to its members.
As Sr. Officer (FPO) you will:
- Generate awareness and mobilize farmers, organize them, and incorporate them into the FPO.
- Establish systems and processes for updating MIS and accounts, conducting statutory audits, and managing finance.

The WOTR Centre for Resilience Studies (W-CReS), initiated in 2007 and established in 2016, is WOTR’s eminent and autonomous applied research unit.
Employing a trans-disciplinary approach, W-CReS conducts multi-stakeholder, applied research on critical, ground-level issues impacting society. Here is a brief snapshot of the role:
As Field Officer, you will play a crucial role in facilitating agricultural development and enhancing agricultural productivity. Working closely with farmers, you will provide valuable insights on modern farming techniques and promote sustainable farming practices to them.
At WOTR you will:
- Assist in implementation of agriculture related projects and monitoring of the same
- Implement crop demonstrations, collect data from demo plots and send it for further analysis as per the project need
- Conduct periodical farmer field schools and keep records
- Assist in data collection and analysis of various agricultural interventions and research studies
- Prepare physical and financial reports of projects.
- Prepare reports, produce written outputs of implementation work and its outcomes
- Support the conduct of trainings & development of manuals
- Perform any other team responsibilities / duties as assigned time to time
You will be reporting to the Project Manager.
Apply if you have:
- A B.Sc/ M.Sc with Agricultural related specialization (Preferably Entomology, Agronomy, Soil Science)
- Comfortable using MS office.
- Fluency in Marathi and Hindi
- Good writing and communication skills in English would be an advantage
